E3 2011: Must-See Videos

One of the buzziest trailers at E3, Prey 2 seemingly came out of nowhere with this slick trailer showing a bounty hunter chasing his target through a sprawling alien city.

RAGE

id Software did a full-court press for Rage at E3, releasing new trailers and showing off a bunch of gameplay from the game. Here’s a trailer for “The Well,” which gives a look at some of the towns you’ll be hanging out in, as well as some of the combat you can expect.

STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC

One easy way to get a room full of gamers excited: play the Star Wars theme. They would have been more excited had EA announced a release date for The Old Republic at E3, but this slick CGI trailer, introduced by BioWare’s Greg Zeschuk, was a pretty nice consolation prize.

TOMB RAIDER

It’s anyone’s guess how this Lara Croft reboot, shown for the first time at E3, will turn out, but the trailer, with just the right mix of adventure and creepiness, is worth checking out.

UNCHARTED 3: DRAKE’S DECEPTION

Aside from unveiling the new PlayStation Vita portal, the highlight of the Sony press conference was this extended demo of Uncharted 3, loaded with impressive water effects. Don’t forget your rubber duckie!
